Staying Alive

Germany, Brandenburg; November 2021

For our 11th November trip we couldn't have had better conditions. The sun shined non stop throughout the weekend to celebrate this years themes with us: survival and outdoor first aid.

In a group of 11 people we travelled 55 km by bike to Fläming-Skate. During the trip we had different accident scenarios with different difficulties, in which the participants had to take care and aid injured persons. After the groups rescue, we discussed the procedures considering further risks, the environment and the teamwork. In Addition, we repeated proven sequences under the guidance of our special guest, a Doctor from the Charité Berlin. For the night we prepared shelters made only from natures resources and finally refilled our energy with a delicious lentil soup.

After some funny but intense tactical night games we called it a day and slept in our self made shelters.

On the next day we had a nutritious breakfast and took the train back to Berlin, having learned some very useful first aid and survival technics.
